Job Overview:
This position ensures the safe, efficient, and mission-aligned operation of all aircraft maintenance activities through planning, workflow oversight, and team management. The Hangar Director is a member of the leadership team and reports directly to the President.

Salary: 90-120k
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage and supervise hangar staff and volunteers, promoting teamwork, effective communication, safety, and mission alignment.
- Ensures that all aircraft maintenance complies with FAA standards, prioritizing safety above all else.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly hangar.
- Ensure all logbooks, manuals and materials are kept current for each aircraft.
- Manage hangar workflow, ensuring maintenance priorities align with program schedules and aircraft readiness.
- Liaise between hangar operations, administration, and programs.
- Oversee hangar budget, parts, tooling, and vendor relationships.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance tracking systems.
- Contributes to organizational strategic goals and makes recommendations for process improvement.
- Embraces the mission, vision and culture statement of the organization.
- Conducts all business on behalf of the organization in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and represents the organization in a professional manner to the public.

Education & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in aviation management, operations, or hangar administration.
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and FAA regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience supervising teams.
- Highly organized, with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Current A&P or A&P/IA certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to transport and operate heavy tools and equipment. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work in varying temperatures both indoors and outdoors.
Working Conditions:
- Potential hazards associated with working around aircraft, electricity, pressurized air, hydraulic systems, use of hand and power tools, solvents, lubricants, and other combustible substances (i.e.: aircraft fuel.)
Compensation:
- This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the President. Benefits including health, dental, and vision are available. A generous vacation and time-off policy is offered.
- Salary Range: $90,000–$120,00.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
