Job Overview:
Key duties include conducting routine servicing, airworthiness directives “AD” compliance checks, diagnosing issues, performing repairs on engines and airframes, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards set by the FAA.

Key responsibilities include:
- Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on aircraft, including servicing engines, fuselage, electrical systems, and landing gear.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues using hand tools, power tools, and specialized
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal aviation regulations (FARs) and policies of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), including record-keeping and documentation of all maintenance actions.
- Testing: Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting to verify the proper operation of aircraft systems and components post-maintenance.
- Modifications: Install and modify aircraft systems and parts, ensuring they are integrated properly and function as intended.
- Safety Practices: Maintain a safe working environment by following safety procedures and protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members and volunteers to ensure the efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest aircraft technologies, maintenance procedures, and regulations through continuous education and training.
Education & Experience Required:
- Current Airframe and Powerplant license and related experience.
Working Conditions:
- Potential hazards associated with working around aircraft, electricity, pressurized air, hydraulic systems, use of hand and power tools, solvents, lubricants, and other combustible substances (aircraft fuel).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to transport and operate heavy tools and equipment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures both indoors and outdoors
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and organization volunteer groups
Compensation:
- The A&P mechanic is a full-time (40/hrs./week), hourly position. Employee benefits including health, dental, and vision available. A generous vacation and time off policy is also offered. The hourly pay rate is $30.00.
